Interest in using 68Ga is rapidly increasing for clinical PET applications due to its favorable imaging characteristics and increased accessibility. Focus of this presentation was to provide our evaluation of the TiO2-SnO2 -based 68Ge/68Ga generator. The introduced generator has highest 68Ga activity compared to other commercial 68Ge/68Ga generators
This generator from Pars Isotope company with a nominal activity of 70 mCi showed a stable 68Ga elution profile. 68Ge breakthrough for this generator is under 0.001 % and metal impurities including Zn(II) and Fe(III) are less than 10 µg / GBq as described in the monograph of the European pharmacopeia. The obtained results will be useful in standardizing the evaluation of 68Ge/68Ga generator for clinical use.
