Abstract
The UAE's nuclear program, with the rapid development of the Barakah nuclear power plant, is considered an important nuclear development in the region; and Predicting a legal regime to compensate for the potential damage caused by this rapid development in the nuclear industry is a serious and important necessity for this country. The UAE is a party to the “Protocol to Amend the Vienna Convention on Civil Liability for Nuclear Damage – 1997” and “Convention on Supplementary Compensation for Nuclear Damage-2015” and passed the Civil Liability for Nuclear Damage Act (No. 4) in 2012. During comparative studies of some of the world's nuclear countries, the legal system of civil liability for nuclear damage in this country was studied with the focus on the mentioned law and this article explains the basic features of this national law.
